A word vastly misused.

SHOULD be used to describe one as either:

1. Happy, Jubilant
or
2. Homosexual

To use it as a synonym for "Stupid" is offensive to some people.
Ex.
1. We come from old Virginia, where all is bright and gay.

2. Richard is a homosexual, and is therefore gay.

prefix used to denote someone who is obviously gay but hasn't "come out of the closet" yet.
"Mikah, your pants are sagging too low. Pull them up. (gay)Todd just parked over there next to Wade."

"Geeze (gay)Todd, for someone who's spent the last 19+ years in a closet, you've got a pretty good tan!"

As apposed to its original homosexual meaning, it's gradually came to mean a general flamboyance, or excited state.
In some parts of the United States, especially western Pennsylvania and Ohio, it is also called by different names. Things like being a queer, or being an Anthony are commonly used synonyms.
Ben: Dude I saw Luc outside today and he was really happy about something

Emily: yeah he looked pretty gay

A club on Old Compton Street in Soho, London. As suggested by its name is a gay scene, but anyone can go if your into dancing around and having a wicked time in a great atmosphere.
1:We're going out tonight, do you want to come?
2:Sure, where to?
1:We're thinking of heading up to G-A-Y

or
'It's G-A-Y's bar night tonight'

1. a happy mood
2. a derogatory term for a homosexual man or woman, but can have a positive or neutral connotation when used correctly
3. an insult used to describe something that is bad, crappy, or stupid. used by the insecure, homophobic teenagers (around the 13-16 age range) to accentuate the point that they are not gay. not all teenagers use this, though. some of them develop souls earlier than others.
1. Why, Jimmy seems positively gay
2. John doesn't flirt with girls because he's gay. but there's nothing wrong with that
3. my parents grounded me for cutting class. they're so gay.
